Axiology

What is Axiology?

Axiology is the highly validated study of the core reasoning behind how people think, their es thinking habits and how they value elements in and around their world. Axiology is based on the revolutionary work of the late Dr Robert S Hartman, and has up until now been only utilised in research environments. We have been fortunate to utilise this is a business context highly successfully and with impressive bottom line results.

How does it work?

By mathematically applying a measurable order to a person thought process and patterns, we are able to make highly accurate predications and statements about a person's potential for performance, action, and behaviour.
It's simplicity in completion underlies a complicated and validated mathematical equation. For instance in what order would you put the following: Below you will find a example of phrases. Each of these phrases (or words) represents something on which individuals may place different 'values' (good or bad) -- depending on their own feelings about how good or bad it is.

A new car
A scientific experiment
A foolish thought
A blunder
A wreck
An award for a good deed
A telephone
A token of love
A lover's embrace
A life of adventure

Whilst taking the assessment you are asked to place in order 18 statements like the one's above in the order you believe to be best and worst. Based on this ordering a validated report is generated on the following areas. (Please see: What does it measure?) Alternatively you may wish to take or nominate a person to take the assesment to really find out how relevent it will be for you and your compnay. Contact us by clinking at the bottom of the page.

So what is it used for?

The applications are varied in their nature. To answer this first we have to ask ourselves another question:

How, what, and why do and should we value?

The science of formal axiology, provides rational answers. Our values (often called the hidden motivators) are the keys to our personalities, to self-knowledge, and to understanding others.
Axiology and the Hartman Value Profile provided by Results UK disclose our values and our personalities. It is immensely useful in employer-employee relations (employment, hiring, training, promoting, re-assigning, and retaining employees), business consulting, business, sales, developing a clear set of business values, psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, ethics, religion, and everywhere that values matter.

Can you provide me with more details?

Axiology measures a person's capacity to make value judgements, not their values.
A person's strength in each of the three thinking dimensions (intrinsic, extrinsic, systemic) in each of the two worlds a person exists in (inside looking out and inside looking inwards)..

Basic Elements Outside World Inside World
Inside Looking Out Inside Looking Inwards

Systemic People Self Esteem (Who am I)
Intrinsic Practical Awareness (What am I)
Extrinsic Systematic Self Direction (Who should I be)

What exactly does it measure?

There are a number of areas that are categorised and some of them are as follows:

Empathetic outlook

How trusting is a person and what is their attitude to personal relationships. How optimistic are they towards people or how untrusting is an individual?

Practical Thinking

How engaged is someone with a set of tasks? Are they up to the role or are they resentful and frustrated with their particular situation.

Systems Judgement

Axiology and Results UK can reliably measure how easy or difficult it will be to manage a particular person. How independent are they and can they think out of the box? Whilst this is vital in some roles it can be completely unnecessary in others. Is a person likely to conform and identify with a company or even understand, appreciate the necessary processes?

Sense of self

A vital evaluation in a person, are they self centred and egotistical, or do they harbour a desire to improve and develop themselves. What is the evaluation of themselves from the inside looking out.

Role Awareness

How well suited are they to the role that they are performing or that they are seeking to perform. Results UK in the use of Axiology are able to determine role satisfaction and dissatisfaction, optimism and understanding of a person's role.

Self Direction

How clearly is a person's direction in life? Do they have a clear vision of where they are heading of are they unclear and likely to follow any agenda presented to them?
